Alesha Williams - Comic book artist / Illustrator
Alesha is an Illustrator, Designer, and Educator from Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her BFA in Illustration from Columbus College of Art and Design and her MFA in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University. Alesha is an advocate for Diversity and Inclusion, and she combines her many interests in her research, which focuses on character design and the representation of marginalized and minority characters in comic books. Her research asks how minority identities are designed and characterized in comic books, and what methods are used to create better, more effective representations of marginalized and minority characters.
André Malkine - Illustrator
André Malkine is an illustrator and cartoonist who works in both digital and traditional mediums. He loves building characters, creatures, and strange little worlds, pulling inspiration from comics, surrealism, and classic fantasy art. His style leans heavily on comic-book storytelling—expressive, energetic, and a little bit weird in the best way. He’s always experimenting, always learning, and always trying to create work that feels alive.
Anicka Chaffey - Comic book artist
Anicka Chaffey is a comic artist and illustrator whose main focus is finding creative ways to make learning about science fun and accessible. After finding her way to comics after a stint as a biolgist, she has been collaborating with biological field stations to share the work they do with the world in comics-form!
Annabelle Olendzki - Cartoonist
Annabelle "Moowsie" Olendzki is a queer comic artist based in Western Massachusetts. Her work communicates emotions of self identity and philosophical desires, often conveyed through dialogues between curious creatures and characters. She has a profound interest in the power of a conversation, and the connection and answers that are discovered in this exchange of perspectives and ideas. Through simple pen and ink techniques, her work is illustrated with familiar styles of 20th century newspaper comics.
Annie Dwyer - Illustrator
Annie Dwyer is an artist, writer, and mom of three in the Hudson Valley. She is currently working on a graphic memoir.
Asheten Wickham - Comic book artist
Ashten Wickham is a Brooklyn-based cartoonist, illustrator and writer. His debut zine series BANG released in Fall 2025, with his first full-length comic arriving in 2026. When not making comics, Ashten can be found listening to jazz, drawing in his apartment or exploring new corners of NYC.
Aurora Brush - Publisher
CDHP is a moving home that exists at the intersection of magic and revolution, centering liberation movements, playful projects, manifestations of dreams, accessibility of resources, and tangible forms of shareable joy. CDHP is founded & operated by artist Aurora Brush, but holds the work & collaborations of many artists, including writers, activists, illustrators, herbalists, & more! In the Cosmic Dog House we print primarily with a risograph, meaning our projects are vibrant, tactile, & hand made. Every project is tenderly printed in house, hand bound & assembled with the help of friends. Our content includes informational pamphlets, short comics, illustrious zines, interactive books, and an ever evolving array of work by artists primarily local to the "Hudson Valley". Most recently our founder Aurora Brush has included more of their art in the press, which features maximalist botanical illustrations in the form of irregular zine shapes inspired by illuminated manuscripts, divination practices, & local flora & fauna.
Brenden Fletcher - Comic book writer
Brenden Fletcher is a New York Times bestselling writer of comics and cartoons known for his work on DC Comics’ titles BATGIRL, BLACK CANARY and GOTHAM ACADEMY, as well as the Ringo Award-winning, Eisner-nominated Image Comics series ISOLA. His writing has been published by DC Comics, Marvel, Image Comics, Dark Horse, Titan, Boom! Studios, Kodansha, Adult Swim, Ubisoft and Warner Media. He lives in New York with his wife and son.
Charlemagne (Charlie) La Greca - Comic book writer, artist, creator
Charlie La Greca is a comics writer / cartoonist with 20+ years of professional experience. He recently earned a national award for his environmental comic series produced with the UN and CUNY. He began by cutting his teeth in the legendary bullpen at DC. His work spans comics, tv, digital media, advertising, live performance /educational workshops, with clients including Disney, Nickelodeon, DC Comics, Scholastic, Lego, and the Starwood Westin Hotels. Charlie has created original comics for organizations such as CUNY, the New York Hall of Science, the E.U. and the U.N. He is a co-founder of Pop Culture Classroom and the founder of Denver Comic Con and DINK Comic & Art Expo.
Charles Fetherolf - Comic book artist
Charles Fetherolf is a comic book artist, writer, and publisher at Giant Earth Press. His work has also appeared in publications from Dark Horse, Fulcrum, Locust Moon and Heavy Metal. He resides in New Paltz, NY.
Chris Fink - Cartoonist
Halfway through finishing his autobio graphic novel in 2023, Fink was diagnosed with glioblastoma and is inexplicably alive as of this writing. He's spent an entire life trying to save the world with his comic book characters Leopold & Brink. He's still working on it. Chris McMillion - Game Designer
I’m Chris, the designer and artist behind Pick It Up Games. I'm currently building Hidden Village, a shinobi lane-battler of strategy & style. I love creating in any shape or form and when I'm not hunched over my drawing tablet, I'm writing stories and scenarios for my Dungeons & Dragons campaign (Forever DM here ^_^). Or playing trains with my son! Or watching soccer. Or tennis. Or playing board games. Or designing board games... I never stop!
Chris Miskiewicz - Comic book writer
Chris Miskiewicz is a graphic novelist and award nominated writer of the science-fiction western “This is Where We Fall,” the biographies “Grateful Dead Origins," and "Elvis: The Graphic Novel," as well as the award-winning series, "Thomas Alsop." His work has been recognized with two "best non-fiction graphic novel," one "best writer," and one "best graphic novel of the year" Ringo Award Nominations and is the winner of Denmark's esteemed Claus Deleuran Award for “Best Graphic Novel.” - As an actor Chris has appeared on CBS's "Bull," HBO's "Bored to Death," and USA Networks’ "White Collar.”
Chris O’Neal - Comic book artist
Chris O'Neal was born and raised near Baltimore, Maryland. He works in a range of media, from comics and painting to poster and website design. Chris lives and works in Kingston, New York and is the Programs & Communications Manager for the Midtown Kingston Arts District (MKAD).

Corey Lowney - Cartoonist
Corey Lowney (he/him) is a school psychologist/cartoonist who restores his adolescent comics as well as develops new content, often related to mental health. He is currently at work on a long-form memoir with roots in graphic medicine. Corey received his Master’s in School Psychology from Marist University in 2010 and his Year-Long Intensive Comics Certificate from the Sequential Artists Workshop (SAW) in 2023.
Dana Variano - Artist
Dana Variano (they/Nightcrawlerⓧ), is a queer & nonbinary pen and ink artist. A communications strategist by day and community organizer by night, Dana creates art to build connections and explore their emotions. They use visual data tools like charts, graphs, and diagrams in non-traditional ways to distill the relationship between their emotions, anxieties, and dreams. Dana lives in Poughkeepsie, NY with their cat Rigatoni.
Dave Horowitz - Comic book artist
Dave Horowitz lives and works in New York’s Hudson Valley. He is author and illustrator of The Ugly Pumpkin, Humpty Dumpty Climbs Again, Five Little Gefiltes, and many more works for children. His books have been published around the world and in several languages. Horowitz is also a paramedic. He has been riding ambulances for over ten years. His most recent book, Medic, is not for children.
Dean Haspiel - Cartoonist
Emmy and Ringo Award-winning cartoonist Dean Haspiel is best known for creating Billy Dogma, and The Red Hook. Collaborating with Harvey Pekar and Jonathan Ames, and illustrating for HBO's "Bored to Death." His published work includes writing and drawing for Marvel, DC/Vertigo, Archie, Image, and Webtoon. In addition, Haspiel is an accomplished playwright and Yaddo fellow. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Dimitri Spiridakis - Comic book artist

Edanur Kuntman - Cartoonist
Edanur Kuntman is an Eisner-nominated Turkish cartoonist based in New York City. Her work explores grief and uncanny emotions through experimentation and by embedding narrative into both physical and visual structure. Her recent graphic novel The Big Bang uses cosmology and torn pages as metaphors for personal loss. Eda shares her work at comics expos and continues to develop both traditional and hybrid approaches to sequential art.

Isaac Roller - Cartoonist
Isaac Roller is a small-press cartoonist, kids book author and all around weirdo. His work involves woolly mammoths, outer space adventures, ultra-wealthy vampires, celebrity chefs, dry humor, wet humor, magic, mushrooms and magic mushrooms. He lives in NYC but wishes he lived in the forest.
Jason Landsel - Writer
Jason Landsel is a Hudson Valley NY-based writer and illustrator with a lifelong fascination with the history of social and religious radicalism. His graphic novel trilogy 'Heroes of the Radical Reformation' (Plough Publishing) tells the true stories of people in 16th century Europe who resisted religious and political corruption and worked to create a free, communal society.
Jenna Del Vigna - Graphic designer
The Relish Society produces comics and photo zines. Currently working primarily with a Risograph machine. TRS is run and operated by Jenna Del Vigna. Jenna says she is a cat person but has two dogs. She lives in New York but is bound for Mu Mu Land. She still has no master plan, but is always on a mission while fishing in the rivers of life.
Jeremy Holt - Writer
Jeremy Holt is a non-binary author whose most recent works include The Gravestone Sessions (Forthcoming, Abrams Fanfare), What If?…Venom (Marvel), Gatsby (AWA Studios), Made in Korea (Image Comics), Virtually Yours (Dark Horse Comics), and Before Houdini (Insight Comics). They have received high praise from Brian K. Vaughan (Y the Last Man, Saga, Paper Girls), as well as magician and NYT crossword constructor David Kwong.
Jess Tobey - Cartoonist
Jess Tobey is an author & cartoonist currently living in NY. Inspired by the bonds between rock bands and siblings, she tells stories with themes of found family, authenticity and self-love.
Jonathan Baylis - Comic book writer
Jonathan Baylis is the author of the Eisner-nominated autobiographical comic series, So Buttons. He crafts relatable slices of everyday life and pop culture in collaboration with groundbreaking artists, echoing the spirit of Harvey Pekar's American Splendor. With over a decade of storytelling, he has collected his stories into the self-published “So Buttons” series, of which there are currently fifteen issues and a coupl’a specials. He lives in the birth borough of his dad, Brooklyn, with his wife Ophira and their son Lucas.
Jonathan Marks Barravecchia - Illustrator
Jonathan Marks Barravecchia is a comic book artist and illustrator who has worked with companies including Marvel and DC comics, IDW, BOOM!, Legendary, Bad Idea!, and Valiant Entertainment. He has self published several fully painted graphic novels, and his latest creator owned Image comic with writer Sean Lewis was recognized in numerous annual 'best of' lists. Jonathan is currently working on new large scale gallery work for 2026, the continued adventures of 'Punk Slim and Mop Top Bop' for Zuperhero Comics, and painting his next graphic novel scheduled for 2027.
Jordan Jeffries - Cartoonist
Jordan Jeffries is a cartoonist currently living in the Hudson Valley. His publications include the movie journal memoir The Complete Matinee Junkie (Birdcage Bottom Books) and the Ignatz-award nominated comics Love, or the Axe (Ley Lines) and Lullaby (Cosmic Dog House Press). Under the banner of his micropress Compulsive Press he has self-published many works including Seeds in Ash, Goodnight Mush, and Complex Machines.
Joshua Rubin - Comic book writer
Joshua Rubin is an Emmy winning writer who’s worked in Video Games, Film, TV and Comics. His credits range from "Assassin’s Creed 2" to "Destiny" to Telltale's "The Walking Dead." In 2022, he won an Interactive Emmy for writing and producing Netflix’s "You vs. Wild: Out Cold." He founded Strange Land Comics in 2024, an indie label for high concept brain candy sci-fi, and launched their first title "Time Sensitive" on Kickstarter to wide acclaim. He spends most of his time co-raising two feral humans and a quite civilized cat deep in the woods by the Hudson River.
Justin Melkmann - Comic book artist
Justin Melkmann, has been creating and self-publishing his own music oriented, autobiographical comic books for upwards of 20 years. Melkmann holds nothing back, leaves little to the imagination, and takes us deep into the delightfully dingy dives of New York City’s punk rock music scene circa right now.

Her work is powered by a deep commitment to self-expression in all its forms, often playing with the tension between cute and dark, beautiful and serious. Her work blends softness with grit, creating intimate visuals that feel both tender and bold.
Katarina Boss - Illustrator
Kat Boss is an illustrator and mini-comic artist from the Hudson Valley. Her work adds a fantastical element to the everyday, being both earnest and silly. She loves storytelling, is endlessly curious, and cannot wait to say hello at this year’s KICx!

Kit Fraser - Cartoonist
Kit is a cartoonist and illustrator living in the Hudson Valley. Her stories roam from autobiographical to surrealist fantasies to single panel humor cartoons. Her work has been published by The New Yorker, The Stranger, the Nib, among other in-print and online publications.
Kitsch Harris - Cartoonist
Kitsch Harris is a cartoonist and an illustrator living off dollar pizza in NYC. His work focuses on nostalgia, technology, heartbreak, and the never-ending desire to travel through other worlds.
Laura Belmont - Illustrator
Laura Bellmont is an illustrator, animator and comic book artist. She is also the creator of a tribute series called "Cuddlemorph"; an illustrated project inspired by the 'Alien' Universe and the work of H.R. Giger. When Laura is not drawing, she runs a mobile stop motion animation workshop called "The Little Animation Studio" which aims to make stop motion accessible to all people of all ages.
Laura Salgarolo - Illustrator
Laura Salgarolo is an illustrator, bookmaker, and printmaker whose work is steeped in folklore, the fantastical, and nature. She tells stories in a balance of words and images. Though inspired by myth and fantasy, she concentrates on minor magics and creates work that feels intimate in its fleeting nature or smallness.
Louis Petersen - Comic book artist
Louis is a comics creator, and illustrator from Orange County NY. He has self published several titles including original and collaborative. Original titles include “Mason”,”Clowns”,”Survival Girl & Puppy” & “Push and Pull”. He has also collaborated with comics writer Kevin Michael Rowe, author of NARLI the Radical Robot on their first issue of “Invasion on Center Street”
Luther Mosher - Comic Writer/Artist
Luther Mosher holds a BFA in Comics and Illustration from NYC’s School of Visual Arts. Since graduating in 2010, he has worked professionally as a graphic designer and illustrator. As an artist, he has created storyboards for film, drawn children’s books, and illustrated cover art for Ben Folds Five. In 2025, he self-published his first graphic novel, Mars Lightning, a timely coming-of-age space western set on Mars.

Mads 'Mady' G. is a multimedia artist and illustrator based in Kingston, NY. Their primary medium is illustration but life's too short to do one thing. Pyschedelia, surrealism, and a love of nature fuels their many crafts as they continue to search for newer and weirder ways to make art.
Matthew Pleva - Illustrator
Lifelong Kingston artist/resident, Matthew Pleva continues to explore a world of miniature papercut dioramas, obsessive pen and ink drawing, immense public murals and much much more. He is so very thankful to be participating in this event.
Meg Selkey - Cartoonist
Meg Selkey is a cartoonist and illustrator from the Midwest currently based in Albany, NY. She is a graduate of the Center for Cartoon Studies. Her work often reflects the experiences of girlhood and adolescence. She is currently working on her first graphic novel.
Michael Falotico - Cartoonist
Michael released his first collection of short comics, Burn Pile, at KICx 2024, which comprised all of his previously published short horror comics since 2019. Since then, he has been tabling, drawing a ton, and became the official illustrator for the serialized dark fantasy series Void Injection by Owen Clarke. Michael will be tabling alongside his wife, Laura Bellmont, where they will be selling their 'Alien' fan-comic "Our Own" among a plethora of other art, prints, and comics.
Nethery Engblom - Illustrator
Nethery became hooked on illustrating and storytelling at a young age after discovering the art of comic books. She attended the School of Visual arts in New York City and earned a bachelor’s degree in Cartooning. Currently she uses her storytelling techniques to make self-published comics, children’s books, and illustrated ceramics. She has a passion for many mediums including animation, pottery, printmaking, and watercolor. She hopes to dabble in as much as she can throughout her artistic career. She currently resides in Kingston, NY with her partner Chris, and their dogs, Lula and Olive.
Nick Carroll - Illustrator/Writer
Nick Carroll (they/he) is a queer-identified interdisciplinary artist born, but only vaguely raised, in Kingston, NY. His work explores language, humor, intimacy, mysticism, and identity, often taking shape as small-scale illustrations, zines, comics, hand-bound books, and songs.
Normandie Luscher - Comic book artist
Normandie is an author and illustrator whose work often depicts slice of life narratives with an interest in unearthing original stories and perspectives with distinctive characters. Her current work is a comic series, Demigoddess, following Demi, a 16 year old high school student, experiencing loss and navigating trauma on a journey of healing, along with her best friends and the Muses from Greek Mythology! Normandie is now teaching as an Assistant Professor at Syracuse University where her current research focuses on sequential narratives, particularly around concepts of trauma and recovery and representation of unique experiences. Her work has been recognized by American Illustration, Creative Quarterly and Applied Arts Illustration Magazine, among others.
Peter Rostrovsky - Cartoonist & Painter
Peter Rostovsky is a Russian-born artist and writer who has exhibited his fine art at museums and many private galleries. His comics have appeared in Devil’s Due’s acclaimed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Freshman Force and Talk Bernie to Me anthologies, and the Ringo Award-nominated Pandemix anthology, among other publications. His debut graphic novel, Damnation Diaries (Uncivilized Books, 2023), received a MoCCA Award of Excellence, praise in Publisher’s Weekly, Artforum, Hyperallergic, and other venues, was listed by the New York Public Library as one of 2023’s Best Comics for Adults, and was nominated for a Ringo Award in the Best Artist category.

Pouya Alaee - Cartoonist
Pouya (he/they) is a first-generation transmasc cartoonist and content creator from Iran, based in San Francisco, CA. He received his MFA in Comics from California College of the Arts and has worked with organizations such as Iranian Independent Filmmakers Association (IIFMA), UC Santa Cruz Institute for Social Transformation and Monterey Bay Aquarium. Their personal projects often intersect topics of environmental justice, queer identity, Persian mythology, and the Iranian diaspora.
Richard Miller - Comic book artist
Richard has over 20 years experience as an illustrator and fine artist. He graduated from the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon Graphics in 1994 and was recruited by DC Comics, where he worked on producing comic books including Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman. His expertise includes illustration, toy design, and animation. In addition, his fine art has been shown in New York and Seattle galleries and featured in Blackbook magazine. He is currently working on a solo show in New York City.
Roxenne Contrares - Illustrator
Roxenne Contreras is a Latina illustrator based in Hudson Valley, NY. Roxenne loves all things whimsy and colorful, incorporating that into her illustration work. She enjoys using comics and zines as a narrative medium and experiments with various mediums. Roxenne is also a FIT illustration alumna.
Sean McCarthy - Artist, writer, educator
Sean McCarthy is an artist based in the Hudson Valley. He is the creator of the Riso-printed comics series The Novice, for which he was awarded a 2024 NYFA/NYSCA Fellowship in Fiction. He is an Associate Professor of Art at Lehman College of the City University of New York and writes occasional criticism for The Comics Journal.
Sean Von Gorman - Graphic designer
Sean Von Gorman is an Eisner Nominated Comics Illustrator & Writer. He is known for Co-Creating TOE TAG RIOT (Black Mask Studios), SECRET ADVENTURES OF HOUDINI (Alterna) and PAWN SHOP with Joey Esposito (z2 Comics). He has also contributed art for projects published by Image, Dark Horse Comics and Dynamite Entertainment as well as Anthologies such as Occupy Comics (Black Mask) and the Eisner Award Winning Love Is Love (DC/IDW). He has also contributed covers for IDW’s Star Trek line of books.
In addition to his comics work, Sean has also contributed art to The New Yorker, Alt Press Magazine, and The Quarantine Coloring Book. He is also a brilliant Guerrilla Marketer, who has been known to handcuff himself to things and escape straitjackets to promote his comics. His latest book THE PEDESTRIAN published by Magma Comix has been nominated for the Will Eisner Award for Best New series of 2025 as well as The Mike Weringo Award for BEST SERIES 2025
Shane Moore - Comic book artist
Shane is the Artist for EMP’s Flagship book: The OMENS. A “Jack of all trades”, Shane has worked out story ideas, pencils, inks, greytones, and letters for the Omens graphic novel. His latest project is MY NAME is LADY #1. The kickstarter for issue 2 is coming soon.

Shawn is a comic book artist based in western Massachusetts. He likes to create creatures, aberrations and things that just shouldn't exist. He never takes these things too seriously though and weaves in a sense of humor in all of his work. He is currently working on his self published comic Demon Town.

Suejee Lee-First Hold - Comic book artist
I’m Suejee, an animator/illustrator based in Brooklyn! I run First Hold, a risograph project publishing narrative-driven comics, zines, and animations. First Hold is a natural evolution of my freelance work and a step toward prioritizing personal growth. SUNY New Paltz Zine Collective - Zine Collective
Since 2014, the SUNY New Paltz Zine Collective has existed to provide students with everything they need to make ZINES: self-made, self-published DIY works about music, politics, culture, art, and more. We host weekly workshops for making zines, while also providing a space to discuss zine/DIY/alternative culture & history. Additionally, we help curate the Zine Library in the Sojourner Truth Library, and host/participate in events, workshops, club collaborations & more to spread our members’ work, as well as promoting zine culture to a larger audience.
Taku Ward - Cartoonist
Taku Ward is a cartoonist born and raised in New Jersey. He attended and graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a Bachelor's Degree in Cartooning. His comics have been published in anthologies such as Level Ground Comics' "The Greatest Hits: A Comic Mixtape," Chidrawgo's "I Like Robots," and The Nib's "Cities" issue. Currently, Taku likes writing whimsical stories and designing monsters and creatures in his ongoing comics, "One-Inch Bozo" and "Camp Creechurman."

Valerie Light - Comic book artist
Valerie Light (she/they) makes autobiographical comics as a therapeutic practice. Their first published story, ‘How to Walk’, is included in the Ignatz Award winning Best Anthology of 2025, Rust Belt Review vol 6. They have stories in 4 other anthologies and self published several mini-comics. Her current project, Boom Towns, centers on the effects of extractive capitalism on her hometown region of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Valerie also leads afterschool classes in Peekskill in comics, digital art, and portfolio prep.
William Ibañez - Cartoonist
William Keops Ibañez moved to New York City from Texas in 2001 to attend the School of Visual Arts from which he got a B.F.A in illustration and Cartooning. In 2007 he attended the Art Institute of New York and earned his Associates in graphic design. His comic book work includes Blazing Quantum, True Tales from La Frontera; and Codex of the Jaguar. His work has been featured on sites such as CBR, the podcast The Comics Alternative, and The Comics Journal.
Zack Quaintance - Comic book writer
Zack Quaintance is a comic book writer and journalist. His newest book is the Texas grindhouse horror comic, Macabre Valley, and he's also the writer of the series, Death of Comics Bookcase. In his spare time, he serves as an editor at the Eisner-winning website, The Beat.

The Zine Machine is a refurbished sticker machine that now dispenses art prints. We keep physical media alive by showcasing visual artist's work off- screen. A corresponding zine is created for every new release of artist's work. We highlight local artists within the Hudson Valley region and beyond.
